Ty Pennington has helped transform the lives of many families as the host of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. He began his career as a model and appeared in numerous television commercials. His background, however, was in carpentry -- and Pennington quickly gained attention on the popular home makeover show Trading Spaces, where his skills were constantly put to the test. In addition to his work on Extreme Makeover, Pennington has a line with Sears, Ty Pennington Style. In 2003, he wrote Ty's Tricks, a New York Times best-seller. He also launched Ty Pennington At Home, a decorating and remodeling magazine.
